We had a great time on the St-Emilion trip, the two vineyards were both stunning and contrasted each other very well. We learned loads throughout the day and loved cycling through the beautiful French countryside in the sunshine. Pauline was also an excellent host, she was very knowledgeable and made the trip a lot of fun. The picnic lunch was also superb. Thanks again Pauline and Rustic Vines!

An absolutely amazing adventure! It was raining all day, so instead of an Electric Bike Day Tour, we collectively opted to drive around in the van, which allowed us to see more than we would have across St-Emilion. The wine tastings were fantastic choices and our guide was very knowledgable and friendly. It was a perfect day, and I could not have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

Vincent wss a superb host and guide throughout our tour, which was the highlight of our trip to France! Despite a little rain, it was a magnificent experience and after trying e-bikes….we’ve all become huge fans. The wineries were fantastic, viiews of the countryside unforgettable, and walking tour in St. Emillion superb. Vincent took care of us every step including our picnic lunch. Absolutely would do again and again!

The St-Emilion all day trip is the one...... Staff was prompt, knowledgeable, an fun.....They took us to a variety of Chateau's but with alot of countryside to look at and towns to explore.
Wine tasting was plentiful an good....We ended up shipping quite a bit back to the US...
For the price...it is very worth it..

We had a great day with Tim to St Emillion even though the weather didnt play its part it was a fun day and St Emillion should definitely be included on anyones holiday to Bordeaux. have to say its the first time we have been on a wine tour and returned sober!! the portions are very small compared to SA 's wine tastings!!

We were lucky to have Tim , the owner of Rustic Tours , his passion, knowledge, and dedication is second to none. Even though we had a little rain - it was a great day , lots of tastings , two full wine cellar tours and a walking tour of St Emilion. What an amazing day we had with Tim from Rustic Vines and the other patrons on teh tour. Collected in the centre of Bordaux and taken out to Saint Emilion where our ebikes were waiting for us. It did rain a bit, but Rustic had that covered with rain ponchos. Visited two Chateaus and had two great tours with wine tasting. Lovely lunch provided with wine from one of the Chateaus that we visted. Retunred to Saint Emilion for a walking tour and another wine tasting experience with one of the towns many merchants with local wines from the region surounding Saint Emilion. The tour is for lovers of red wine, which Im not, however, I did give it ago, liked a couple, but still a white drinker! At the end of the day, Tim was aware that I wasnt a red wine drinker (I think I let him know at the start!) and gifted me with a lovely bottle of white wine, which I graciously accepted. To the team at Rustic Vines you were exceptional and would definately recommend if you want to explore the region of Saint Emilion, we thoroughly enjoyed our day. Thanks again. John (Australia)

The office in Bordeaux is central and easy to find. Turn up early and have breakfast just around the corner.
Our tour guide Ben has first class knowledge of the region and the vineyards.
Don't be afraid of riding a bike - the electric assist if required is a fantastic help. I would suggest that if you have not been on a bike for some years, practice at home in order to maximise your enjoyment.
A couple of tricky junctions to negotiate but well managed by Ben.
A very full day, but spread out and never felt rushed.
Team Rustic Vines are worth a visit.

We took a tour which began in Bordeaux with a van ride to St Emilion where we then took e bikes out into the countryside of Bordeaux wine country. We stopped at 2 wineries for tours and tastings and we had a wonderful lunch with wine outside in a lovely garden at the first winery. We then cycled through more stunning scenery back to st emilion where we had a third tasting and a walking tour then van back to Bordeaux. This trip was awesome and Nicholas our tour guide was professional fun and conversational. Thank you Rustic Vines

It would have been good to have a brief description of the area we were going to and the type of winery we were going to visit beforehand. My husband and I joined a group of other travellers for this biking trip around Saint Emilion. Nicolas was a perfect guide, chatting and giving formal and informal history and bits of information about the wine, vineyards and area, as we drove, and throughout our day. He was fantastic, friendly, and generous with his time. He even dropped guests off at their respective hotel areas to avoid walking home in the rain.
This is the best travel experience I have had during my time in France and perhaps ever. If you have a day to do this bike trip, I would highly recommend it!

We were recommended this tour by a friend and it did not disappoint. Thomas was our guide and very knowledgeable and passionate about the wine and he was also very fun and joined in with the group. It was the first time I’d used an e-bike and it was very enjoyable and made the ride super easy. The chateaus were stunning and the wine makers were very welcoming and we got to try a nice variety of wines.

We had Thomas as our guide and he was fabulous. We learnt so much about the region and the wine and had a fun day too! St Emillion is beautiful and doing it by bike really makes sense. Loved that we did a significant amount of biking to view the vineyards surrounding Saint-Émilion (~20 miles/32 km). Greatly appreciated the knowledge and level of detail of winemaking from both our tour guide (Thomas) and the onsite winery tour-guides. The day from start to finish was very organized and well paced. I came away with a much better understanding of Bordeaux wines and a wonderful day spent in good company. Would absolutely recommend this as a "must do" to anyone visiting Bordeaux and/or Saint-Émilion.

We signed up for the Rustic Vines St-Emilion Electric Bike Day Tour and had the most incredible time. First and foremost, our guide, Ben, exceeded our expectations in terms of knowledge of the area and wines - truly one of the best guides we've had on any tour ever. The wines we tasted were delicious, the scenery was stunning, and the e-bike makes getting around easy but much more exciting and fun than your standard vehicle transportation. The lunch was the perfect spread of simple yet classic and delicious French staples - cheeses, baguette, pate, fruit, and of course wine. We loved every second of this tour and would happily to it again when visiting Bordeaux!

We thoroughly enjoyed a jam-packed day of cycling across beautiful scenery and tasting lovely wines. Taylor was a brilliant guide, who went the extra mile to ensure we all had a great experience; taking photos, teaching us history, speaking both English and French, answering any questions asked, providing recommendations for food in Bordeaux, and generally putting us all at ease in a large group from different countries! We cannot fault any part of the day. We would 100% recommend to friends visiting Bordeaux!!

We had a fabulous day exploring the St Emilion region, doing this by bike gave us a real opportunity to understand the scope of the area and admire the landscape. Each chateau was interesting and individual, giving us a behind the scenes look at the processes, of wine production. I had an amazing time, the electric bikes were great, the guide was lovely, the tour group was relatively small, only 8 of us, so was good chatting while having food etc. tried at least 10 wines on the tour. A friend recommended the tour to me and I’ll be recommending it to other.

We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience! Our Rustic Vines guide was welcoming and informative from the outset. The visits to two very different but equally beautiful chateaux were fascinating, and it goes without saying that the wine tasting was wonderful! The tour guides at both were informative, friendly and able to explain the wine production processes and how to properly sample wine perfectly. The final wine tasting stop in a shop in St Emilion was also lovely, with an incredibly knowledgeable proprietor. There was never any pressure to purchase wine (although of course we did!) We covered about 20km on the e-bikes, cycling through outstandingly beautiful countryside and vinyards. There was little rain during the day but effective (if not very flattering) rain capes were provided. Having never ridden an e-bike before, we're now complete converts! So much fun! It was a full and ultimately tiring day but worth every moment. Highly recommend.

I had no difficulties making the booking from Australia.
It was my first time on an e-bike & it was a very positive experience.

We loved the cycling and bikes (very comfy and easy to use for some of our friends who were less confident), and both wine tours were informative with a great lunch provided too. However the main dissappointment was the overall lack of cycling - the whole group was really enjoying exploring on the bikes and had understood it would be around 3 hours - but instead it was only 15km total and seemed we just went straight from A - B (10-15 mins cycling each time) then spent circa 1 hr waiting for the tour, then a lot of time waiting to head for the next one when we could have used this to look around other beautiful vineyards, roads in the area or even St. Emilion itself.
We had high expectations for this trip after the reviews and although it was enjoyable, feel some of the time could have been better managed and the plan better communicated from the start of the day by the guide or alternative options provided for those who may wish to explore more.

Leopold was a delightful guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about wines (he is studying them at a local university) and went out of his way to help make everything easy for group. The e-bikes were terrific and make for an enjoyable trip. A lovely lunch of pate, cheeses, fresh bread, vegetables and more (plus local wine) was served under the trees at one of the vineyards/chateau. We went to two chateaus and a tasting room. One chateau regrettably only had one wine- but the tour guide was terrific. Leo took us in a tour of the town afterwards and always ensured we had water. Bring sunscreen! A wonderful day and would highly recommend it. Amazing way to see the countryside.

We loved our ebike winery tour of St Emillion with Daniela. Our pick up from Bordeaux was seamless and Daniela did a great job of getting us excited and ready for our bike tour on the bus ride up. She also helped us get to know our fellow riders. We found the bikes to be very comfortable, easy to use and we were not tired after our full day tour in the sun. Lunch was tasty and well organized. The winery visits and tastings were interesting, fun and also well organized.
I would recommend this to anyone visiting Bordeaux.

Our guide Leopold was absolutely magnificent! His knowledge of the area and how climate change is creating new and innovative ways to make the wine we all love was perfect. The E-bikes are a great way to move through the valley and discover the many Chateau’s. After recently completing a tour of Champagne, I decided the only way to experience Bordeaux wines would be with a tour group, but I had high expectations. The cycling tour with Rustic Vines far exceeded all of them! Vincent was an excellent guide, and the tastings and chateaus were fantastic. If anyone is on the fence, don’t hesitate - just book right away! You won’t regret it.

We had Jerome as our guide, he was excellent, great fun and extremely knowledgeable on wine, history and the region. He managed timing etc very well. The e-bike wine tour is a fab concept but Jerome added so much to it. Its not cheap but its a world class day out.

We enjoyed our day, it made a nice change. Although I have to say having been on few other wine tours with a sit down 3 course lunch for less this one was expensive as the lunch was very basic and the setting in the garden with the portable loo and building materials in full view spoilt the ambience. The second vineyard also had building works being done. Shame as I think it could be better. But all the staff are lovely and friendly.

the winery visits were lovely- but the walking tour of saint emillion was unpleasant and did not offer any insight. would not recommend and would suggest that you drastically change that section of the tour. also the picnic was disappointing- not value for money and by no means enough wine. forced interaction between guests is also uncomfortable.

My partner and I booked this day trip with transport from Bordeaux. Everything went off perfectly and Taylor and the team could not have been more helpful or accommodating. We had a lovely day out with three other couples. The atmosphere was relaxed and the cycle was approachable for all levels. We tried 11 different wines over the course of our day and had a lovely picnic with the group. The scenery as you cycle around the valley is beautiful and the old town of Saint Emilion is incredibly cute. I would recommend this to anyone who is in Bordeaux for a few days.

What a lovely way to spend the day. Our tour guide Taylor was a lovely guy extremely personable, knowledgable, and an all-round nice guy. The bikes (electric ones) were great and the cycle through the countryside and vineyards taking in the views, fresh air, and sun was food for the soul. Both Chateau we visited shared their knowledge with us and wine of course as they guided us through the wine-making process. You don't need to be a wine lover to enjoy this day. Lunch provided by our tour guide in the garden of the Chateau was restaurant standard. An absolutely very enjoyable day and well worth it. I wouldn't hesitate to book again. If you are looking for a nice day stop reading the reviews and book now you won't regret it.

Biking the wine region was so much better than sitting in a car. Our guide prepared ponchos in case of drizzle for all of us, made us a wonderful lunch picnic (with a local canele) to go along with the first wine tasting, and was upbeat and full of knowledge. It was my best day in Bordeaux and super worth it. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

We had an amazing experience last saturday riding around the vineyards of Saint-Emilion with our fantastic Tour guide (respecting his privacy we will not mention his name).
Despite sickness, flat tires, hard rain and all, we have to adming that the views , the chateaux, the wine tasting, the picninc and the overall fun exceeded any minor inconvenience.
The organization was perfect, the tour guide super nice and easy going, the bikes very easy to ride and comfy, the tour around the vineyards very authentic, the picnic well assorted and presented in an incredible place (picnic table in the backyard of a chateaux sorrounded by nature), the town of saint-emilion beautiful.

We were blessed with perfect weather. We were also blessed with Tomas as a delightful guide (who also had helped us change the date to better fit our schedule). Beautiful countryside, many good wines. Very good bikes. Things seemed to get a little rushed at the end with the final wine tasting and tour of St Emilion, but maybe we had been slow as a group earlier in the day. Definitely recommend to anyone who is comfortable on a bike.

I thoroughly enjoyed the tour from start to finish. Our guide, Julia, was hugely knowledgeable and made the day fun throughout. Everything was informative and interesting without being stuffy which is a risk when it comes to wine... Both chateau visits were great and cycling is so much more immersive an experience than sitting in a van. The ebikes have different settings so you can alternate between manual pedalling up to basically no effort to glide along. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend
